Receive the Holy Spirit
The Promise the Father gave.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”Acts 1:8
Jesus did not leave us as orphans. The Holy Spirit is God living in you — your Teacher, your Comforter, the fire on the altar of your heart. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead wants to fill you, lead you, and pray through you. Ask. You will receive.
A prayer to prayHoly Spirit, come. Fill me afresh. Baptize me with Your fire, teach me the deep things of God, and make my prayer life burn with heaven’s own fire. Amen.
